This painting was part of my thesis at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze (Florence, Italy).

The sea in the north of Spain. Strong, wild, as a friend once said: “you could become hypnotised just looking at the waves.”

Before… (“antes de…”) deciding to walk alone down a path through the ferns to the edge of that sea.
And the before of other events in life that I did not know were yet to come.
